Make A Custom GIF with Quick GIF

August 24, 2025 | 5 days ago

Today, we’re officially launching QuickGIF, our new iOS app that makes creating GIFs and short videos ridiculously fast—and honestly, kind of fun.

Here’s the idea: you’ve got a picture, a screenshot, or even just a silly thought you want to bring to life. Normally, that means messing around with editing software, searching for the right filters, maybe even learning After Effects if you’re really ambitious. With QuickGIF, you skip all of that. Just upload a photo or type a short description, and a few seconds later, you’ve got a moving, share-ready video. No tutorials. No waiting. Just instant motion.

During our beta, one user described it perfectly: “It’s like having a video editor in your pocket—except it actually listens to me.” That’s what we were going for. Whether you’re running a brand account, posting memes, or just want to send your friend something way cooler than a static picture, QuickGIF makes it happen.

We’ve already seen people do some wild stuff:

  • Turning vacation selfies into dreamy little animated postcards.
  • Bringing doodles and sketches to life.
  • Spinning up quick promo clips for TikTok and Instagram.
  • And, of course, creating GIFs of cats doing absolutely ridiculous things.

The magic really comes from the text-to-video feature. Type something like “a neon jellyfish floating through space” or “a latte that winks when you sip it”, and QuickGIF will cook it up for you in moments. It still blows our minds what people are making with just a few words.

We wanted QuickGIF to feel less like an app and more like a toy box. Open it up, mess around, and five minutes later you’ve got something that makes you smile—and maybe goes viral, too.

QuickGIF is live now on the App Store. We can’t wait to see what you create. Go grab it, play with it, and tag us so we can share your best ones.
